PARS knowledge exchange event
Movement for Health in partnership with Public Health Scotland welcomed 110 delegates to Glasgow Caledonian University to share learning of how the Physical Activity Referral Standards can enhance practice and support more people living with long term health conditions to move more in a way that suits them and their conditions. Through presentations and workshops, delegates heard a variety of PARS implementations through delivery models at local level. Themes of the day included the value PARS brings to any practitioner and by using PARS local level is seeing a gradual move away from a pharmaceutical approach to healthcare to a preventative and early care focus.
